March. What a month. I spent the first three weeks dreaming of spring break and complaining about how it wasn’t spring break and then the last week doing school work half the time and then complaining that I wasn’t getting a really getting a break and that I wasn’t reading what I wanted to read. Anyways, lets just jump on into this wrap up.
Non-bookish Things from March:
School and other IRL things:
March was a month of ups and majors downs, so I’m just going to take a moment to list some of the ups because focusing on the negatives isn’t fun:
- I had like one full week where I didn’t cry, which probably isn’t a big deal for most people but is a big deal for me.
- I finally went to a doctor to discuss my depression and I’m now working with her to figure things out some.
- I got an A- on an essay from a teacher that notoriously only gives Bs!! I’m still super proud of that tbh.
- I did a bunch of extra credit and took a test grade from a C to a high B.
- I had my spring break and I got to spend some quality time with my mom and grandparents.
- I got to hold my baby cousin!! He’s like four months old and he is actually the cutest, I love him.
- This one is kind of positive but kind of negative, but I actually voiced what I want to do next semester to my mom (an experience that was way more stressful than it needed to be given that she didn’t really care and thinks its a great idea).
Movies and TV:
I watched a ton of Gilmore Girls and Beat Bobby Flay reruns with my mom, but other than that I don’t actually think I watched anything?
Music:
My music taste was all over the place this month and I didn’t really listen to solely one album over and over again which is kind of weird. I listened to a lot of Five Seconds of Summer and Portugal the Man though.
Finally, onto the books
Pleasure reads from this month:
I read 16 books for fun this month. That number completely shocked me because I felt like I wasn’t reading anything this entire month, but I’ll take it I guess.

Well, that’s about it from me for the day! How was your March? Did you read any amazing books that you think I should read to? Do you have any TV or movie recommendations?
Your reading stats amazes me EVERY single time I see them! I was creeping on your GR page the other day and saw that you had already read around like 50 books!!!???!?! You are superhuman and I aim to be like you. Also, congratulations on the full week of not crying (I consider that to be a feat as well and think that recognizing it as an accomplishment is wonderful♥) and also getting a A- from that stickler teacher!!

I honestly have no idea how I have read 50 books, I spend a ton of time thinking that I haven’t read anything then I go to write a wrap up and go “huh, maybe I did read some things.” Thank you so much, Brittany!

Yes, you’ve been killing the reading goal! You’re doing awesome. I just finished by 28th book of the year and thought that was good considering how much I’ve been slacking. Then I look at your list and you’ve doubled me 😅 You’re welcome!!
